With the Wireless Local Number Portability rule going into effect later, this month, I figured I'd see who everyone has service with.

I've got Cingular and have had since Jan of 1999. I'm very happy, but I'm irritated that their text messaging plans suck. I used to have unlimited and then they messed my account up three or four times so I've gotten probably close to $700 in credits for their mistakes. If they'd offer an unlimited texting plan, I'd pay for it (as long as it was reasonable).

Sorry, I've never heard of those. Guess I should research Canada providers too.

We (TELUS) have this for Winnipeg and Halifax but what Fido is doing right now is not sustainable for a business. They're slashing prices too much - they'll go under. And their reception (signal) is poor in most cities and non-exitent out of the large cities.

If you want 25% off TELUS Mobility phones let me know.

Yeah CDN$40, and it combines local line and wireless. So you only need 1 line instead of 2 (home and wireless).
So basically it works like a home phone (unlimited) but act like a cell phone.

Fido is on the verge of bankruptcy. They're owned by creditors at this moment. That's why they need a huge customer based. But what I dun understand, I see more Fido commercials on TV than before.... Commercials could cost around $3-7 millions a day. And they should know that that kind of advertising isn't effective.
