those who don't currently own a mazda...

what are you driving now?
likes/dislikes?
have you owned a mazda before?

'03 Nissan Spec V - 13,000 km

likes - hp/torque, seats, trunk space, brakes, LSD, stereo, 6spd

dislikes - clunky gear box (has gotten better since new), horrible MPG, little leg room for rear passengers, rattles + squeeks, car feels like it won't last past 60k

first car was an '88 323, fun car, motor ran strong, unfortunatly auto tranny gave up after 150,000 km

likely to be trading sentra in sometime in spring for a 3wagon

I drive my mom's Mazda Premacy 1.8 '99 very often. Great space, high enterense, drives good, for a 1.8 is is quite powerfull (I won against a Golf, A3, Laguna, Vectra and I could keep up with a Ford Scorpio 2.9), everthing feels good (pedals, shiftknob etc). And we like the looks of it

But it makes too much noice!! Wind......tires...... engine.....everything. A bit nervous at high speeds and too little weight on the front wheel. The Premacy isn't the best, but we like it. Drives also al little bit sporty And ofcourse; nothing will brake

I could rant forever on this topic.

'99 Oldsmobile Alero sedan. Believe it or not, 3 years ago this was my Dream Car. It's a 170 hp 3.4L V6 with power everything, idiot sensors all around and nice (IMO) alloy wheels.

Then I drove my wife's Jetta and found out what I was missing.

Dislikes: Rotors had to be sanded and ultimately replaced due to recurring warping. V6 gets mediocre mileage (20-23 mpg). Brake feel is poor. Steering is numb, loose, and vague, oh and the wheel is too big. Seats are uncomfortable on long trips. But hey, it was the best GM car at the time!

I sat in a Protege5 for 30 seconds and I knew my next car would be a Mazda. Everything felt right.. the seats, the wheel, the finish. And Mazda steering/handling is legendary.

Well, when you're ready to give away your 6, pass this way. I always accept tax-deductible donations. :-)

I drive a 99 Saturn SL1 now. I have never owned a mazda before but am looking forward to gettign a MZ3.

Saturn likes: Dent resistant side panels (car still in great condition) good gas mileage

Saturn dislikes: Brake rotors warp easily, very underpowered, I only have manual windows and door locks , was wifes car and I got stuck with it.
