new dual monitor setup

Been wantin a 24" for a while, so I jumped on one from the Dell refurb site when I saw it included free overnight shipping.

I got the 2408WFP, for those of you who don't know, it is an 8 bit panel displaying a true 16.7 million colors as opposed to other types of panels that are 6 bit and dither to get to 16.7 million. Basically its colors are extremely accurate once calibrated, you can hold a print up next to it and it'll look exactly the same. It also has a card reader built in which is neat, and it can turn on the stand to go into portrait mode, and it does 1920x1200 resolution. I'll be getting a Spyder 3 to calibrate it soon.

I was using a 2007WFP, the 20" version of this monitor (also an 8 bit panel), it's for sale for $180 if anyone's interested The monitor on the left in the shot is a ViewSonic 20".

Re: new dual monitor setup

I've been running dual 2005FPW's for 3 years now, and loving every minute of it! Not a single issue with the monitors. My Pantone Huey will only keep one of them calibrated, but I deal

Re: new dual monitor setup

I'm waiting to settle in a bit so I can start running my 3rd HP monitor. Don't know why but I prefer 17" non-wide screens .
