2017 Volvo S90 Spied Testing for the First Time
The all-new 2017 Volvo S90 has been caught testing for the first time by spy photographers.
Engine options are expected to be the same on the V90 as the larger XC90 SUV because the two share a platform. That means the new full-size sedan will come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine that makes 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, hooked up to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The upgraded engine option will be a plug-in hybrid system which uses the same 2.0-liter four cylinder along with a 60-hp electric motor that will put out about 400 hp combined. The car should have an all-electric driving range of about 20 miles.
Styling, both inside and out, is also expected to be heavily influence by the new XC90 SUV, which means we can expect those new Thorís Hammer headlights along with a massive touchscreen display in the center stack.
The 2017 Volvo S90 is expected to debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January.
