Favorite books/authors

Hey Ladies! Figured we could start a discussion on favorite books/authors.

Right now I'm addicted to Charlaine Harris. She is the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels which the HBO show "True Blood" is based off of. I'm not a big fantasy reader, but I tell you what Charlaine Harris has such an imagination that she draws you into her stories.
I know the whole vampire thing is in right now with the "Twilight Series", but this is a tween series. It's more adult.

Re: Favorite books/authors

Too bad Anne Rice is a born-again Christian. She doesn't want to write vampire novels anymore. The Vampire Lestat was so yummy! :P

I loved Ann Rice....read all her old stuff.

Another good author is Richard Wright. His Autobiography was great..."Black Boy".

I like Stephen King, Neil Gaimen, Christopher Moore and Sherman Alexie. I liked the Twilight series and want to read Host & Darkly Dreaming Dexter next. And I will always love my comics and graphic novels.
