nose piercing

at my new job i suppose they don't mind piercings or tattoos because it seems like everyone has them. some of the girls have cute little diamond studs in their noses and it makes me want one also. i want to if anyone has one or has had one that can give me more information. first...does it hurt when pierced for the first time? is it uncomfortable when you're blowing you're nose or do you get used to it? what if i ever want to take it out for good does it leave a huge scar?

Re: nose piercing

Josh's mom got her nose pierced last year and it looks cute.. It's not for everyone though, like I don't think I could pull one off... She said when it got cold her nose hurt, and for the first couple weeks it was hard to get use to and was sore, but she is glad she did it... If you aren't sure if it would look good on you or not go into a fabric store and pick up one of the loose diamonds or something small like that and, I dont know how you would get it to stick, but stick it where a nose ring would go... that way you get a feel of how you would look with one on...Just a though =) Good Luck if you do this!

Re: nose piercing

I have my nose pierced I've had it for like 3 years now but I hardly wear anything in it. Awww it makes me want to put my little stud back in now

Yes it HURTS its a needle going through your flesh lol.. but it only hurts for a second. My eyes teared up but thats it. Once you've had it a while and it heals up you won't even notice it when you blow/pick your nose

as long as you get something small I think anyone can pull it off. I have studs that are so small you almost can't even see them.

Re: nose piercing

I had my nose pierced for several years and i finally took it out. Here's a few ideas for you.

I had mine done by my aunt, who's a cosmetician. She used an ear piercing gun and there was no pain at all. There are different kinds of nose rings. There are ones that are a "screw" or also called a "J hook", because of the shape. I always found the screws hard to get into my nose and I could feel them and they never sat flush with my skin. A friend recommended the store Hot Topic or Claires (the teenie-boppers jewelry store)! They sell nose rings that are a post like a normal earring, but have the tiniest ball on hte end to keep it in your nose. There is nothing sticking down through your nostril and it's comfortable as all hell. I was never in any pain from mine, my nose wasn't sensitive to anything, and I never noticed them when I was blowing my nose. An no....when you blow your nose without a ring in, nothing comes out the hole.

The downside is I took my nosering out about 3 years ago, and I can still see the hole and get a ring in there if I want to. I took it out because my boyfriend thought it looked trashy and no job in my area will let you have them. I think they're cute on the right people. So definitely try to hold a diamond/rhinestone up to htem and see what you think. Also, if you know anyone that pierces ears, I would recommend having them do that vs. going to a tattoo shop and having them gauge out your nose with a painfull needle. Good luck!

Re: nose piercing

you should never ever get a piercing with a piercing gun!!! i know that most of us got our ears pierced at the mall with a piercing gun but piercing with a gun is such a bad idea... go to a piercing/tattoo place and get it done professionally (professionals DO NOT use guns) with a hollow needle!!!

Re: nose piercing

but....it's an option for people like me that don't want a hole for hte rest of your life. Using a gun just moved the skin around to make a hole. Using a gauged needle takes away the skin and you never get it back.....there'a always a gaping hole

I just wanted something temporary and it worked for me! But, I will agree that going to get ANY piercing professionally done IS smarter and you have less of a chance of a health risk with better healing time

Re: nose piercing

i agree...you can pull off a nose ring. Unfortunately, I cannot.

your lip/tongue is a muscle that you're piercing....you're nose is cartilage and it takes a lot longer time to heal shut

but i stil think it's cute on the right person
