"The Look"

Ok guys. I'm relatively new to owning a "car". I went from a 4Runner to a 3. (I was in an accident so I really had no choice.) I had various things done with my truck but really don't know where to start with my new car. It's just BEGGING for attention though!

All said and done, I'm leaning towards more of a clean/smooth/classy look for my 3. I don't really plan on altering anything beyond cosmetic just yet. Until I get settled down more (out of school and in my own house) I really can't justify it. However, I can still make it LOOK HOT, right? :P

So, any ideas? I have been searching around and digging through lots of threads but it gets kinda crazy.

#1 Remove side moldings ASAP.

#2 Purchase a short stubby antenna or a sharkfin antenna and get rid of the old one!

#3 Paint your calipers. Easy to do. Caliper paint kit can be purchased at any Auto Store and simply search the forum if you'd like step-by-step pics with tips!

(That's all I have for right now)

Re: "The Look"

I did think about painting the calipers actually. Was thinking about black but not sure if you could see it well enough to justify it. Are yours painted? What color?

Re: "The Look"

Steph has pink ones that I love and plan on copying (with her approval ) We both have True Red.

You can tint or even do something internal, like pedals! I have a pink map light (also from Steph lol) and no door moldings, and when it gets warm we're taking off the 2.3 badges

Re: "The Look"

I have an '04 sedan Sunlight Silver and I went with the black calipers. I didn't want to worry about a bright color chipping, but to each their own. Whatever you like!

Re: "The Look"

I couldn't really see pictures close up of the calipers. Think you can really even notice them with just black?

@ sweetface: pucca rocks!!

@ foofaraw: do you have a sedan or hatch?

eitherway, I think removing side moldings and getting a tint can set you off right!

Re: "The Look"

Drop, tint, no side moldings, sharkfin antenna.

If you budget approves, a nice set of wheels.

Re: "The Look"

I have a sedan and the side moldings are already off. (Well, almost. My roommate is going to help me this week)

Tint will also be done. No-brainer!

Budget does include wheels just have no idea what I want. So many options!
