FS: Apple MacBook (January 2009)

Quietly unveiled without a press release, the Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Early 2009/NVIDIA) features a 45 nm "Penryn" 2.0 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (P7350), with two independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, a 3 MB shared "on chip" level 2 cache, a 1066 MHz frontside bus, 2 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) installed in pairs (two 1 GB modules), a 120.0 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive, an 8X DL "SuperDrive", a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M "graphics processor with 256 MB of SDRAM shared with main memory", and a 13.3" widescreen TFT active-matrix "glossy" display (1280x800 native resolution).

The MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13" (White - Early 2009) shares the same white polycarbonate case as the MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.1 13" (White - 2008) that it replaced -- and with the exception of an upgrade to Bluetooth 2.1+EDR -- connectivity is the same as well with AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), Gigabit Ethernet, a FireWire "400" port, two USB 2.0 ports, optical digital audio in/out, and video out capabilities (mini-DVI) that supports an external display.

Internally, however, this system has quite a bit in common with the MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13" (Unibody) and is equipped with the same processor and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics as well as 2 GB of RAM (but uses the same 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM as the model it replaced, rather than 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM like the "Unibody" models).
That pretty much sums it up as far as description. Only difference is RAM is upgraded to 4GB. Its really clean and has had minimal use for the last 16 months since I got a new Pro for work. Photoshop CS3 is installed as well as Microsoft Office 2008. The battery holds a charge well still. Has been updated to OSX Snow Leopard. The charger cord was bitten a little bit by a cat at some point, strictly cosmetic though as it works flawlessly.

$450 shipped
