my band's new CD (support the local music scene!!) *MUSIC ADDED*

Hey guys, heres a short background. Im in a band called Shades of Blue. It is made up of 3 people, myself on drums, a guitarist, and a bassist. guitarist does vocals and keyboard and I do all other percussion effects.

We have recently released our last and most professional cd before we all split for college (we are all seniors right now). I can guarantee you that this is the most professional studio recording you will hear of us, and the only other experience is live.

the music can best be described as modern day classic rock (60's and 70's era) with influences from artists such as pink floyd, led zeppelin, cream, hendrix, clapton, srv, etc. (but more emphasis seems to be on pink floyd for this cd )

ANYWAY, we are selling the cd's to get our name out and maybe make back the money we spent on the recording, editing, mastering, and duplication.. all of which was done professionally and is shrink wrapped to ensure you are the only person to touch it. :P

I am selling the cd for 10 + 5 flat shipping U.S. I will check on Canada tomorrow but i wont add anymore than $1 more if its more expensive. this includes paypal fees as well as packaging. honestly i dont know if this will cover me or not but but whatevs, ill pay the difference if i come up short.

*sorry if i seem kinda unsure, i will clarify tomorrow after i see what kind of shipping these are rated at*

Here are some pics (all pictures hand drawn by a fellow senior friend of the band and our band picture was taken by another student) of the album. you will have to wait to see the inside!

Thanks guys, any questions let me know. i would like to make a list and then just "mass ship" to everyone that way its easy to keep track of on who paid and who's cd shipped.

p.s. oh yea and btw, im not making any money off of these.. we (not parents, not a sponsor, etc.) paid out of pocket for this to be done. thanks to all who help support the local music scene!

I will also try to get a sound clip posted of a couple of the songs so its not such a shot in the dark :P

I'll take one...I was an aspiring musician at one time myself. Spent lots more money than
we ever made. I loved the studio almost as much as playing for an audience.

Re: my band's new CD (support the local music scene!!)

appreciate it man!

selling to people who are not musicians or do not understand what it takes to really do something professional musically is challenging sometimes they just dont understand how much work, time, and money goes into a cd.

anyhoo, anyone know how to get an audacity file onto here?

Re: my band's new CD (support the local music scene!!)

with Audacity you should be able to save it as a .wav, then convert it to an mp3 using another program, like dbPoweramp....

or save it as an .mp3 with audacity (you need the plugin)

then upload to a free storage service, like Yahoo Briefcase. post link
