SOLD MTX Components $75 SOLD

Up for sale is my MTX components from my 06 Mazda 3 S GT they are 5.25 and come with the crossovers, midbass, and tweeters. I do not have the tweeter mounts as these were behind the stock tweeter grills, also the top to the crossover was taken off to make the clearance in the drivers door in the 3. These were the perfect fit in the 3 with a custom baffle I made for the 5 x 7 opening, it made it pretty solid as well-more thump. The are the only speakers running off of the stock unit that impressed me with rock music, normally you can not turn it loud without distorting-but not these.

These sound surprisingly good especially with lower wattage, and sound excellent with the stock mazda radio. If you have any questions let me know at [email protected] , and if you need pics let me know.

They are online here.

Re: MTX Components $100 w/ free shipping

Really, no one wants these?

These were from my 3, I took them out when I though I was going to sell my car-only reason they are not back in my 3 is that I need the money.

They sounded WAY better than you would think and had a ton of bass- you can even crank them loud without distortion or listening fatigue.

Everybody always asked me if my stereo was stock, and if so how come it sounds so good? I replied that they were MTX, and they could not believe that $200 speakers sounded so good. They were the only set of speakers that sounds good with rock, techno, and rap.

These are the size you want in the 3, 6.5's do not fit as well when using in the 5 x 7 hole. The tweeters are the biggest that you can fit behind the stock tweeter grill with pushing the grills out-they fit perfectly.

I will include a tutorial if you need it, install is easy. Everthing- bass drivers, tweeters, crossovers- fit in the doors, there are no wires to run into the doors-just use the stock wiring.

I will even include some teklite foam sound dampening sheets to insulate the components from vibration and speaker wire for in the door.

This is everything you need to install it into your mazda 3 or mazda6-all you need is screwdrivers and tape!

Re: MTX Components $75

I'm interested in these speakers, depending on my monetary situation in the next few weeks. Is there any way you could send me the install instructions so I could look them over? I'm a little afraid to do this myself considering I'd have to take off the door panel and I'm not sure what rests on that (window, etc..). Also, is that $75 shipped or $75+shipping? And another thing.. are you including your adapter plate with them? thats as many questions/concerns as I can think of for now.. lol

Re: MTX Components $75

The basic instructions is to take off the door panel-just like any other speaker install, the instructions can be found on here.
After the door panel is off[ which can take all of 2 minutes ] you take out the stock 5 x 7 and replace with the woofer
you take out the stock tweeter and replace with the mtx tweeter
run the original wires that ran to the speaker to the crossover
run wires from the crossover to the woofer
run wires from the crossover to the tweeter
put the door panel back on
done !

this install took me less than 10 minutes to do the install, so even if you really suck at installing it would be less than an hour

the adapters can be bought for less than $15 at best buy, circuit city - they are 5 x 7 to 5 1/4 adapters, sorry but I threw them out when they went into storage

there is really nothing to this install even though it may seem hard- but nothing rests on the door panel

shipped to you $80, or if you get these before jan 22nd I will let you have them for $75 shipped to you

Re: MTX Components $75

This is for both front doors, the lower piece is a crossover- you get 2 of everything in the pics.

Re: MTX Components $75

I was thinking about buying these but I own a Ford Fusion. Will I have a problem with these components?
