Re: Mini Home Computer

Yeah, I would want to know processor speed as well. I build computers as well and the 512 mb of ram is pretty much going to be the bottle neck for the system. I never use less than 2 gigs. I even have 2 gigs in my laptop.

LMFAO "oh i thought i didn't need that" i bet in your head you were like "go kick your mom in the ass for me when you get home " 08mazda2.0

Re: Mini Home Computer

VIA EPIA MII12000G which has 1.2GHZ it can be a total of 1GB Ram which is like the upper middle class of mini itx motherboards today.

As for the "bottleneck", it is not a gaming system- hell, the motherboard itself only measures 17 cm x 17 cm...
512MB is good for windows xp[when properly setup]- this computer burns cds/dvds/surfs the web better than my new dual core laptop with 2GB of Ram[cause it has vista].

My point is that it is the setup that counts-obviously you would not use a mini computer for gaming. Windows xp recommends 128mb for the amount of ram, this setup has 4x that amount. If you still want a little more performance spend the $50 and get the 1gb chip
