It does not. On the back there is 1 ethernet, 1 dial-up, 2 USB, 1 VGA, and power, on the side there is PCMCIA and SD Reader.

I can however include a USB-to-Serial Adapter for the same price if you would like to.

hmm, no optical drive either, although i only have one CD program to install.

id like to have a cheap laptop for internet and for using my gtech (sounds like it will work with the serial to usb), im going to have to think about it more though.

I do have an external USB 2.0 CD-RW drive that I used to install Windows XP (brand new install, brand new drive) only problem is I misplaced the power supply for it, Radio Shack and most electronic stores seem to have power universal power supplies that fit it. The laptop can also boot up from any USB floppy drive, and you can also share a CD drive from your desktop via a network, which is how I used it

I will gladly throw that CD-RW drive in there as well... and a DVD drive (you will have to swap it, takes 30 seconds, it's just a case with laptop drive in it)... so just let me know man...

nope, the laptop is only 0.75" tall, so a built-in optical was out of the question when they built this...
